This year we held a costume contest and individuals got entered to win a prize basket. You could also enter if you made a donation to a local charity. We managed to raise $50 to a local food hamper and had fun dressing up!
Our 2014 Big Bike efforts for The Heart & Stroke Foundation was another huge success! We were able to raise $2900 for the foundation, all while looking great in our Scotty blue T-shirts around Sidney on the big red bike! Great job to all the companies and donators here on Vancouver Island!
Congratulations Scotty staff, for raising a wonderful $18,000 this year for the United Way!
This year we were able to surpass last years total by a few thousand,

Every year, Scotty employees have the opportunity to payroll deduct a desired dollar amount from their paycheques that gets automatically transferred to the annual United Way Foundation fund.

Yesterday on October 3rd, 2013, Tour de Rock riders stopped at Stantec Consulting in the Sidney Industrial area to grab a bite of lunch and were presented with cheques supporting the Cops For Cancer efforts. All proceeds went to the Canadian Cancer Society. Local Sidney businesses within the industrial park were able to team together and raise roughly $23,000 for this great cause!
Victoria rider Terry Curry stands with Scotty VP, Robin Richardson and Alexandra Scott. They proudly presented the raffle ticket fundraiser cheque and also helped to purchase a bicycle for one of the junior riders!
It was a very exciting afternoon and Scott Plastics Ltd. is so proud of the Tour de Rock riders on their great accomplishment!
" What is Cops for Cancer? Cops for Cancer is an exciting annual event that takes place each fall, when over a hundred law enforcement and emergency services personnel from across the province brave all types of weather as they cycle up to two weeks across the daunting terrain of Vancouver Island, Northern BC, the coast of British Columbia and the Fraser Valley.
Why? Because the impact of cancer on the life of a child and their family is devastating. Donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society through Cops for Cancer are used to fund life-saving research and caring support programs to reduce its impact." ~ copsforcancerbc.ca
